Mars 1.2 consolidates the public website and mobile client around one versioned Rust API. Named sites and arbitrary globe coordinates use the same MOLA topography lookup and the same documented environmental transformations. Direct observations, climatological products, archive releases, derived coordinate profiles and simulations remain separate evidence classes. Scenario results now declare their baseline, assumptions, applicability, units and interpretation limits. They are sensitivity tests rather than direct measurements or operational forecasts. The release also introduces a multilingual research-news channel with server-side pages, an offline-capable mobile feed, RSS and structured metadata. Published records are managed through a protected Rust editorial interface and written atomically to the public registry.
